The vehicle is located near Sint-Truiden (Belgium).
The 348 was first presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1989. In the Ferrari range, it replaces the 328 by taking over the concept of a 2-seater sedan with a V8 engine. The bodywork was obviously designed by Pininfarina. Called the "little Testarossa" for having inherited the side grids of its big sister, it also takes its rear light grids and very sharp lines.
Mechanically, the major evolution lies in the longitudinal layout of the engine, like the 288 GTO and the F40. Under the hood, you'll find a 3.4L V8 coupled to a five-speed manual transaxle. Note that 348 TS refers to the 3.4L V8, with the T added for Transaxle and the S for Spider. This engine produces 300 hp and can reach a top speed of 275 km/h.
No more than 8800 Ferrari 348 were built. The 348 is now considered a "modern" classic and retains its exclusivity. It is indeed the last Ferrari with the famous 5-speed gearbox with 1st gear on the bottom left of the grid. It is also the last Ferrari without power steering and without airbag.
The car we offer has been imported from the Netherlands to Belgium and comes with Belgian homologation documents. The maintenance booklet is present, as well as a Car-pass (official Belgian document allowing a follow-up of the mileage history).
The paint is in very good condition. Some paint defects are visible in the pictures. The timing belt was changed in 2018 and only 3200 km have been driven since then. Only 49800 km have been driven in total.
The engine starts immediately and has no leaks.
The interior is in good condition, with a natural patina related to the age of the car.
The seats are in very good condition.
The gearshift is like new.
