One thing is for sure, the 993 generation is one of the most desirable editions in the 911 family. What about the turbo version? When it was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 1995, the 993 Turbo was considered as the worthy heir of the 959.
For the occasion, it was equipped with two turbochargers instead of one for driving comfort. The 3.6-liter engine now produces 408 hp at 5,750 rpm and 540 Nm at 4,500 rpm. On the transmission side, it will mark the beginning of the 4-wheel drive that all its little sisters will adopt. Its 6-speed mechanical gearbox (G64) with longer ratios than the 993 Carrera 4 is associated with a central viscous coupling to distribute power to both axles and a rear limited slip clutch set at 40%.
