ALPINA, known for its preparations on the basis of BMW sports cars, needs no introduction. Renowned for their sportiness, the vehicles are developed in a small independent family business that works closely with the Munich-based manufacturer. This 2002 ALPINA B3, proposed as a direct competitor to the BMW M3, was presented at the 2002 Paris Motor Show.
Now belonging to the category of sporty youngtimers, this B3 offered a typical luxury atmosphere and style of these times, exclusivity and impressive performance. The car is powered by a 6-cylinder in-line 3.3-litre engine developing 280 horsepower. The power is transferred to the rear wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission. ALPINA created the B3 3.3 by taking the 3.2-liter BMW engine and making its own modifications. A new cylinder head was installed, as well as a new crankshaft and camshafts, improved connecting rods and pistons, and a new intake and exhaust manifold. The suspension was also improved, with stiffer springs and modified shock absorbers. The braking system is also more efficient, although it is derived from the 330i.
This car was delivered new to Germany and then imported to Belgium. It comes with Belgian registration documents and all original documents.
Car is in good condition and has been serviced recently. The road handling is very good. The gearbox works perfectly.
Paint is in good condition. Some age related defects are visible but no rust.
The interior is finished in black leather. The condition is good. Only the seats need renovation as you can see on the pictures.
A renovation of the front seats would give the car a better look, the rest being in good condition.
